What We Believe
At iHOPE, we believe that everyone—regardless of ability—deserves access to honest, respectful education about their bodies, emotions, and relationships. We know that discussing topics often labeled as “taboo” can be difficult, but we see these conversations as essential steps toward empowerment, independence, and self-respect.

Our mission is to provide inclusive, stigma-free learning experiences that equip teens and adults with developmental disabilities to confidently understand and navigate life’s personal milestones. Through compassionate guidance and tailored courses, we strive to break down barriers, foster open communication, and promote healthy, safe relationships. At iHOPE, we’re committed to building a world where every individual has the knowledge and confidence to live their fullest, most authentic life.
“Disability should never disqualify anyone from accessing every aspect of life.” – Emma Thompson

Why iHOPE Matters
The reality is, these aren’t just numbers—they represent real people facing real challenges. Teens and adults with developmental disabilities experience some of the highest rates of victimization and criminalization in our society. Without the right education and support, they’re left vulnerable, confused, and often isolated. That’s why at iHOPE, we’re committed to providing the guidance, tools, and safe space they need to understand their bodies, set healthy boundaries, and build confident relationships. Because knowledge isn’t just power—it’s protection.

Approximately 80% of women and 30% of men with developmental disabilities have been sexually assaulted, with some women experiencing multiple incidents.

Adults with intellectual disabilities experience sexual abuse at a rate of 32.9%, with higher prevalence among males and those with mild to moderate disabilities.

Approximately 23% of state and federal prisoners report having a cognitive disability, which includes intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and attention deficit disorders.

While exact numbers are not available, individuals with developmental disabilities are overrepresented among incarcerated populations, including sex offenders.

Get to Know Us
Hi, I’m Jordan Culpepper MS, BCBA and founder of iHOPE. I’ve dedicated my career to supporting teens and adults with developmental disabilities through some of life’s toughest—and often unspoken—moments. Even having the privilege of presenting in the 2025 SexABA conference.
I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming and confusing it can be for families and individuals trying to navigate puberty, relationships, boundaries, and intimacy. Sadly, this community faces alarming rates of both victimization and criminalization—making the need for clear, compassionate guidance more urgent than ever.

As a survivor of sexual assault, I know how critical it is to have a safe place to ask questions and learn without judgment. That’s why I created iHOPE—a space where you can feel understood, empowered, and confident as you take on life’s most personal milestones.
If you’re ready to start that journey, you’re not alone—and we’re here to help!
